Lots of people will tell you no. I have coppersafed a fowlr tank that had 100lb of rock in it. I was told that the rock was no good for a reef after that. But I tested for copper a few months after it had been coppersafed and the copper was gone. That rock is in a reef right now.

I was thinking of doing a100% water change and run some carbon for a few weeks then put it back.

i would say let it leach out and use a good copper test kit and see how it go's. and mainly its sps that has a problem with copper. softies and lps it shouldnt bother to much. i have seen mainy additives that have a trace amount of copper in it.

Coppersafe will wipe out all coral and nems at full dose. Trust me there were clove polyps, kenya trees, and some aiptasia on the rocks when i treated the tank and they were all gone after a day or two.
