Did you change you flow or lighting? Anything in the tank that could be pissing it off? Crab crawling on it, or fish picking at it? Really hard to say what is wrong if you haven't made any changes recently.

  5. I changed flow about a week ago, but just assumed it is GSP **** will grow in my bathtub

LOL. I haven't tried any for a long time, but I never had luck growing it the few times I had gotten some.

I'd say the change in flow might have something to do with it, but still hard to tell. i'd just give it more time and see if it starts opening again. As long as the flesh on the rocks doesn't look like its dieing off that might cause more issues in the tank.

I have 3 patches in my tank. 1 is growing, 1 is melting and the 3rd is just there. Lol

Probably too much flow and or light. That stuff will thrive in the shade and a dead zone. It'll die off if it doesn't like the flow/light.
