So I have had my new tank up for 4 months now and I was going through some of the pictures I had taken when I got it setup and was surprised at how much growth there was in my few SPS I have.
I guess looking at them everyday you don't notice it as much, but pictures don't lie.
I got the pictures showing the difference on my blog here  http://donstank.blogspot.com/2010/0...onths.html
The lighting setup I have now and dosing with Limewater has been a big difference in growth for me. I can't wait to see it in another 3 months.

Nice groth on the birdsnest but it looks like it has lost color big time. What do you have for lights and how long is your light cycle? Also are you doseing anything besides kalk?

I have a 12 bulb t5 setup from AquaticLife. All Lights on for 10 hours per day with 1 hour before and after of 4 actinics and 2 10 K bulbs. I had been wondering if the lost of color was bleaching from the lights or new growth that hadn't colored up yet. Its at the same height in the tank from when I stared but it has more direct light now then when it was first placed in the tank. When I first put the Birds nest in there it sat between the two sets of 6 lights. Now it sets under the middle of my left set of lights and thus gets more lighting.
Would you suggest moving the Bird's nest to a lower light level in the tank and see if color starts to improve?
Any suggestions I would love to hear.
    Thanks
