Definitely looks like an anemone of some sort, especially when you say they've been splitting. Doesn't look like a tulip anemone, I should know, lol /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default//emoticons/wink.gif Where'd it come from? How big are they? How are they attached to the rock?  Looks like green bta or something similar.

They are Majanos. The usually are golf ball size at the very biggest. Usually more quarter size.

Goto your local farm storm, theisens, or similar & buy a package of syringes. Should only be about $5.

Mix up a slurry of kalkwasser & inject into the mouth of each one.

They are really pretty & cool, but will wipe out your corals. If a person has a fish only tank, they would be perfect.

Yeah, if they're that small and have the red tips on the ends (hard to tell from your photos), they are majano's or tulip anemones. They will sting whatever they grow next to and can really spread quickly if you don't kill them. Just do what xroads said, turn off your powerheads for a bit, load 'em up with your paste and let those suckers die /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default//emoticons/biggrin.gif

You can also buy some RealLemon juice (not from concentrate) and put that in a syringe and inject it. I have found that works very, very well.
Edit/add: you gotta inject them at the base and fill them up with the juice until you see the poof.  Gotta move fast too and not bump them and cause them to withdraw.

I never want to see or hear about Majanos ever again. Im about to break down my 75G completely because of them. Defenetely take care of them while theres only a few. If you catch em in time and dry out the rock or peel them off with a blade than your fine, but if you let them take over then your tanks done. Keep an eye on it for a while just in case though. Glad you posted about it before its too late!

you need to run them under boiling water to kill them down to the base, otherwise they will probably come back. Keep an eye out for the comeback.
