I recently acquired a new Forest Fire Monti Digitata and I was wondering, where is the best place in my tank for it? I use T-5 Lighting for my tank, 4 bulbs at 54watts each. How much flow can it handle? I basically want anyones opinion has kept one and got it to grow well.
    Thanks,
         Evan

I keep mine low but not in the sand and it gets moderate flow.

Now these things are weird, The one I have died , or appeared to of died 3 times and then came back and is encrusting and growing very well.

I tell you this because if it ever appears it has died, dont toss it out too quickly, it may surprise you.

I just got mine yesterday, and I put it on the frag shelf where I saw all the polyps open up nicely. However I heard that if you keep them in higher light then tend to get more orange polyps and the coral base color goes more pale then neon green. I will try to find a spot for on closer to the sand bed and see if it is happier there. Or I could just wait for you to come see the tank yourself and give me your opinion on where it should go.

thats cool. I have seen your tank and your husbandry evan, I dont think you have any reason to 2nd guess yourself. 1 thing I have learned is what works in one tank may not work in another. for what its worth my base is pale but the polyps are way orange.

I always found they do best in medium light.

Well I just moved it not too long ago and I dont want to move it again tonight so I will leave everything alone until you get here and we can look at everything together and see how it all looks before I go to college.
