    Hello all.
I understand there has been some turmoil in the past with some lfs. I don't know exactly what went down, but it doesn't matter to me. The owner of Coralville Bay, Ed, is a friend of mine and he's always been good to me and the customers I see him with, when I am there.
For those of you that don't know, Coralville Bay is going out of business and Ed is liquidating all livestock and drystock. I mean everything.
I know he still has his 265 gallon saltwater setup that he's trying to sell. There is a Japanese dragon moray eel in there and some really nice mother colonies of coral that he's willing to start piecing out.
Also a bunch of gallon sized additives for half price and other miscellaneous stuff. Hes selling all display tanks as well and i believe they are mostly $1/gallon and they come with rock and undergravel. The Custom frag tank is what I've always had my eye on but I have way too many projects going on right now.
Anyway, I understand you've had your differences in the past but it would help him out to maybe at least take a trip over there. I have a minute long video on my phone of the eel during feeding time, it's pretty cool if your interested!

Thanks for sharing @Chief Reef@Chief Reef, I thought CB had already shut their doors actually!

As far as I know, there hasn't been any turmoil with CB but hey I could be wrong. I dropped Fest flyers off there once and Ed bought some frag racks from me at another fest, and I was going to make a rack for him at one point but I never got to it.

The big thing is the jap dragon eel it is gorgeous ed has a value of 1000 on it alone..... I told one of the guys that is helping him that he should raffle it off, people have a hard time dropping a grand on fish " live stuff" but everyone would buy a raffle for a chance

He never talks about girs and vaguely mentioned of a failed event that happened a while ago so I wasn't sure about how to approach this lol.
He's only open tuesday- Saturday 12-5
He is trying not to close until all of his stuff is sold. So there is not any set date yet but I don't think it will be for a little while yet.
I didn't look at the rest of his store much but I know he mainly has 20 highs and 30 and 40 longs still for sale. He also has a bunch of protein skimmer, used and new.
On the 265 I think it's marineland dual factory overflow . It's got oak canopy and hand-built stand. 4 ai 26's I believe, a 90 gallon sump with a mag return pump(might be wrong on that one), coralife protein skimmer a bunch of live rock, softball sized brain coral, a leather that's as big as football shoulder pads, Duncan colony with maybe 30 heads, nice green star polyps and a bunch of other huge polyps. He's got about a 7-8" magnificent foxface, and a good 10" Blue tang in there as well. In his frag tank I saw at least 3 nice anemones as well.

Agree, at minimum $30.00 for a raffle. Per ticket.
He could make some cash, and someone would get a wonderful eel.

The tank is closer to my house, it's probably easier to transport it here, however, the bill can easily be sent to your place

LOL. But a tank that size just needs to be a full blown SPS tank. I think I can make it happen. I would even let you help me carry it in the house.:)

Ed was a great resource when I was in school there and transitioning from 'fish with gravel' tanks to serious FW aquascaping. I had thought his doors shut permanently a few months ago.
