I was in Coralville today and stopped at Coralville Bay. Very nice store. I haven't been to the new store since they reopened. Ed has some really nice freshwater display tanks set up. He said he's also going to eventually have a big saltwater display also - 200g+. Fish all look good and healthy. He has some good rock - fiji, pukani, and tonga....decent prices $6 to $9 /lb....better than some places I've been. He doesn't specialize in saltwater, but It's worth a stop in.

I  try to stop in there and buy something to support his re-opening. I just got my porc puffer from him. If you ever visited his store before the flood he was pretty big into saltwater. He does an awesome job too.

I broke down my predator tank so I could set up a frag tank. I have very limited space and my wife has a 2 tank minimum. Out of all the fish that were in that tank the puffer was my favourite.

I was in Ed's store last week. (His store is on the first street behind Walgreen's- to the South.) Very nice as was he. I was going to buy a few aquaria but I noticed one of his yellow tang's had Ick. I pointed it out to him and he wasn't previously aware. Not saying anything bad here about Ed or his livestock; tangs are notorious for Ick! I didn't buy any livestock as he uses a recirculating system. Although I QT everything, I didn't want to take on such a risk. He's been in the business for many years and buys his livestock directly from the wholesaler. I noticed his prices seemed very reasonable. After spending time with Ed, I will not hesitate to buy from him :)

I didn't see any Ick on any fish on Saturday. Either he moved the fish, or put it down, not sure. He showed me his setup. There are 3 tanks per sump, so there is some isolation in the system. Connected tanks is always the risk with a LFS.
