Wow i don't know why it posted all of that, anyways I will retype it here. Sorry about that.

I have a 45 gallon fowlr tank. I have 2 peppermint shrimp and I had two false perculas. I had two false perculas for over 6 months and about a week and a half ago one of my perculas jumped to his death and I found him on the floor. So last week I went out and got another false percula and he and my older one got along famously, no issues, they swam together and I saw no aggression from my older percula.

However, the new percula loved to swim right in the current of one of my power heads, which also happened to be right near the cave where my peppermint shrimps always live. I had noticed that one of my shrimps had been acting a little aggressive every time my new percula came close to the cave. Anyways this morning I could not find the new percula and he didn't come out to eat, so I looked around and found him dead in the cave where my peppermint shrimps usually stay in. I also noticed that one of the shrimps was feasting on the dead fish.

Is it common for peppermint shrimps to kill fish? I really had not heard of it happening too often. The only other fish that I have in there is a six lined wrasse, and in the last week I did not see any aggression from him either. My new percula was quite a bit smaller than my other one, but again like I said there was no aggression from any of the fish.

I did a water test and my tank conditions are great, nitrates and nitrites almost 0, salinity, ph, ammonia levels all fine. So could one of my shrimps have killed my new little guy? Thanks in advance.

It is highly unlikely from peppermints.

Probably the fish died and the shrimp was there for an opportune meal.

Almost 100% sure the shrimp didn't kill the fish, he was just cleaning up as any good opportunistic feeder would do. Sometimes a new fish will not be immune to the same "bugs" that inhabit your display tank and just adding them, they may not be able to adapt so quickly. Might be a good idea to set up a small quarantine tank before you get a new fish and put it in there first and add "some" of the display tanks water, sort of like vaccinating. They are introduced to some of the tanks fauna slowly and can adjust. Just my 2 cents, your fish could have died from a number of causes, but it was almost certainly not the shrimp.
