I know there is sprng fest and fall fest but could the club do something with just used equipment. I have atleast 6 tubs full of equipment not getting used at all. The club could use a central location and charge 5 per person to pay for the venue. My stuff will never get used and with this idea we could get more guys involved in the club at a really low cost start up. No corals just equipment. If I have 6 tubs of stuff I'm sure there are many guys with more stuff.

I have thought about this many times, I think it's a great idea. Kind of like a reefkeepers garage sale. I would totally be up for this.

I like the idea. I picked up a few pumps from a guy when I bought my tank, he did not want them any more. I took the 3 and made one good working one and I use it constantly to transfer water from one tank to another. I would be stuck without it. Would love to get a couple extra to have on hand.

I like the idea of a community table where anyone can put stuff in with a price and their name. We can have volunteers man the table and get the $ back to the owner at the end of the day. if you wanted you can even charge 5 or 10% service fee to go to the club.

Or we have multiple tables with one person running a group of 4 friends from an area.

Sounds like a heck of an idea. I need a ton of parts now as I build this tank.

It would be upto the board. I'd think the best place is somewhere in des moines. It's right in the middle for cr, davenport, omaha.

I think this could be a good one to hold at Camp Dodge, they have big armory buildings we can rent out for really cheap. What do you think @B_Braz@B_Braz?

Smaller swaps can be done during a monthly meeting @LiLNicky@LiLNicky for those not wanting to travel 2-3 hours for swap. If advertised through the social committee other groups would be notified and can choose to participate or not.

This is a great idea and bad idea at the same time...but only bad for the fact that I will probably leave with more then I came with lol. But in all seriousness I like it either way- regionally and/or mega swap. I have enough for a table for sure.

I think having only one fest a year isn't a good idea.how many more vendors or speakers are you gonna get?if it's just to save money,i think you'll lose more.some people(myself included) can only get to one.and if there is only one then we miss out completely.and how great can local fests be? Do we get speakers and vendors?.I do like the drygoods deal idea.that can be great if it was once a year, more stuff from more people to sell or buy.there are other national fests that are great.but we need as much going on in Girs as possible.two fests and a food meeting mixed with the local monthly events is a good start.....
