This evening we managed to get George, my flame hawkfish, back out of the overflow/DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/crying.gif and into the tank. It was rather like a goat-roping or herding cats!!  Any suggestions on what to use and how to hook it down so he doesn't get in there again? Thanks!!

i used eggcrate, its heavy enough not to float and is easily manipulated to be less restrictive. ive been having some serious issues with adventurous snails crawling in my overflow box. ended up with some water on the floor! good thing my dog doubles as a water detector. as soon as it starts to drip over he barks like crazy.

i used the blue foam boards that people will put under their tanks, can easily cut it with a stanly or a knife that heats up, it stays in place and if the drain slots get plugged the foam will float out of the way when the water level rises and allows the water to flow over the top of the overflow box

Hi Deb! If you decide to use egg crate, I have some leftover in black.

Thanks, Annie! We've got several pieces of it here that we used to cover the tank before the canopy was up, so we're set. Glad your blenny came back out!!
