I'm a firm believer in that the oceans coral reefs are all in danger of dieing off. not by man collecting colonies from the ocean but by man not taking global warming seriously. I believe that some day we may only be able to see a coral reef from our living rooms, or public aquariums. So my take is this, If it is a rare coral ( one that has not been well distributed in the hobby ), then I think that it should be wild caught in the efforts to preserve that coral. With that said once the coral begins to flood the market then it no longer should be collected from our oceans!!
I think that if we want to work on preserving our oceans coral reefs, we need to start by looking in our garages and stop driving gas guzzling suv's and trucks that only get 18 mpg! Don't get me wrong I'm just as guilty as the rest of us, I'm not tree huger, but I am an ocean Lover!

This is just my opinion on this topic!!!!
