Ok, long overdue...here is a sump that I finished up about a month ago.

This was another build that needed to accomodate an L2 algae scrubber, I'm getting pretty good at these! On top of that we needed a holder for filter socks and some removable media trays in the last baffle set. This was a beautiful sump when it was done and should be a great addition to the system it was designed for.

38x20x16 overall dimensions, build the the whole tank (including the baffles) from 3/8" material. I wanted the extra strength so we could reduce the size of the eurobrace down to 1.5"

We went through four or five design tweaks before I started this one...but here is the final rendering:

Most of the pictures I took during the build were on my cell phone...so they didn't come out too well.

Here was the filter sock holder being bonded in place:

Here was a shot after in installed the baffles with the built-in tray supports. Cutting the black egg crate on the router table was a new experience but it worked!

    Scrubber tray sitting in place.

I made this tray so it fit over the two tallest baffles and can be slid forward or back as needed. Easily lifts out of the tanks for access to the chamber below.

Holes in the scrubber tray precisely fit the scrubber drains:

    All polished up...ready to go!

You do some great work. Can't wait until one of these threads is about my project.
