Help!! Des Moines / Ames

Sounds awesome B! Went last year, we all brought eats and beverage, had some little give-a-ways, and a really cool frag swap,...twas a cool yule time! was a great time to swap stories and put faces (and real names) with the names! Count me in, will be just the thing to get me off my bu!! and get me to renew my membership.

 

So is anything happening on this?????? Christmas was very busy, but things are starting to slow down - so I'm looking forward to a holiday party in January!!!!!

 

I hope I can come. It would be a welcomed event as I haven't had the chance to attend and participate much this year. Starting 2017 with a GIRS event would be awesome! Can we try to make it daylight hours? I've driven the car once 2 days ago...8 miles but that's a start!

 

I haven't seen anything more on this. Did I miss something????

 

I'm interested in this as well. How has it worked in the past? Just a get together for food, drinks and general conversation? If so do we just need to set a date and time?

Edit: just saw previous comment on last year's and it sounded a little more involved than just a get together. Either way though, I'm interested!

I would suggest a Saturday afternoon - January 21st or January 28th.

Based on my schedule, we could have the Holiday party on Saturday afternoon, January 28th at my house. Next Saturday, January 21st works for me, but not at my house. I would gladly help someone else with the plans and arrangements - if they could host it at their house on January 21st.

So - no poll - but, please respond here if either January 21st or January 28th would work. And PLEASE post here if you could host it at your house on the 21st!!!!!

I know it is a short notice everyone, but I would like to make a decision on this by the end of day - because if the decision is to do the 21st - that is this coming Saturday - and I need a few days to pull it together.

I'm thinking probably start around 12:30 - 1pm. Lunch..... We'll also do the frag swap thing where everyone that is interested brings a frag and then the 1st person picks, the 2nd person pics or steals ........ You get the idea.

Spouses, girlfriends, boyfriends, significant other are welcome also.

Thoughts?????
