Des Moines Regional Recognition Program

In a continuation from the prior conversation (http://www.greateriowareefsociety.o...fault.aspx) I wanted and would like to see a way for Des Moines members to recognize each other in this region for helping contribute to either the success of the club and/or the reefing community. In stealing a page from other recognition programs I have come up with the following proposal. This is all debatable, as I want to find a way for us to recognize or reward those who help others.


The rough idea is as follows:


On a yearly or quarterly basis the members could contribute names or recommendations to the trustee. The trustee would then decide on a name and there could be a small reward as a thank you.


We as a club or region could find a way to thank someone who spent time helping others. I know budgets are tight but we could possibly do something small. Maybe a $10 gift or a bag from a box of salt. I dont want to do this for the reward, but more or less as a thank you or some small token of appreciation.





Just some suggestions below


Did they help you plan and plumb your new tank?


Did they rush over to prevent a huge disaster on your tank?


Did they donate frags or fish to help you start your tank or someone else's?


Contribute time, supplies, help to another program start up a reef tank?
