Diatoms

    As expected after replacing my sand bed diatoms started to form on the substrate. People have asked in the past what works for diatoms and the fighting conch is occasionally recommended. Below is a picture that illustrates why.

    very cool. Looks like that thing is a diatom mowing machine.

    He is! It worked its way systematically from one side of the tank to the other and back again devouring all diatoms in its path.

    They work great, I had 2 in my 125.
