Thinking about doing a small fuge in my sump. I don't have any dividers in the sump other than a bubble trap. The plan is to add a large skimmer, then line the rest of the sump with rubble. Would a small container used for keeping little critters with some chaeto work? I've never had a fuge and would like something to help with nutrient export/pH stability.

Man I'm thinking hard about it. I really don't have much room in my stand though. That's the problem. I do have two BRS reactor cannisters though. Thinking about rigging one up for it.

Sounds like you don't have room for a 10 gallon tank? If you do those are the easiest. $10.00 at Petco. The rest is easy if you have room I'll give you the rest.

The problem with a little critter container might be flow. But I think if you set out up right you could make it basically act like a divided section in the sump.
If you can find room to squeeze a reactor in like pictured I think that would give you best growth and results

you could probably make a box any size out of egg creates (the light defuser) and then put some micro algae in there. Remember you want it to grow so don't fill it up all the way and then leave it alone.
