Does it mean anything to you?

The reason I am asking is a conversation I am in. I bet 95% of hobbyists have no clue at all what it is.

Marine Aquarium Council certification. When I was in Florida working retail a lot of the animals we worked with/brought in were MAC certified. Mac sets the bar as far as quality for collection, propagation, and handling. You have to be accepted/or asked to be Mac certified. ..not just anyone can be. If an animal is brought in and to be sold as "Mac certified " it can not at any time be out of a mac certified facility/hands. It has to remain within mac certified care from collection to final retail sale otherwise it can not be sold as Mac certified.

@xroads@xroads. Are you hinting that you got Mac certification? ;)

    No just a debate

MAC has long since been defunk, but the certification standards still exist.

And 99% of hobbyists dont know what it is. Nor will they pay another 25% to buy a mac certified tang over a non mac certified tang

I've seen the phrase before on stuff I was browsing online. No idea what it all entailed. I figured it was just some gimmick to try and get higher prices.

Had not heard of MAC. Since it is defunct it sounds to me like a good reason to buy from high quality sellers (LiveAquaria, et.al.) who watch their supply chain. A good reason to support ORA animals instead.
