Hey guys, I wanted to share a little gem I found at Menards:
    https://www.menards.com/main/lighti...4424041480-c-7239.htm?tid=-439878124600806393

I was searching for a cheap solution to get light into the rear chambers of my BC when I found this item at Menards. I purchased it about two months ago and wanted to give it some time before I told you about it so I'd have some results to post about.

It is a 6x4" LED array with a rocker switch and 120v plug. I simply taped it directly onto the back of my BC so that it would shine through the window I have back there and provide light to my chaeto/caulerpa. There is almost no heat generated. The light has been running constantly, however I am considering just plugging it into the same strip as my overhead lights so they'll run on an opposite schedule.

The stuff is growing like crazy! Bright green, healthy, and I went from having a generous ball of it to now the entire second chamber is packed. (By the way, anybody need some? :))

So if you want a cheap (~$24) light for your refugium or sump, I would strongly suggest taking a look at this.

I just went from a compact florescent (3rd try with different color tone), and finally bought the following light for $29 off of Amazon, (I picked up the 7 watt version). It comes highly recommended on a couple of the major saltwater forums: Refugium LEDs Just installed it 10 days ago, and I just haven't seem much change in growth (just have macro, no chaeto). Not ready to switch again, but others have had good luck with it.

I like this! Anyone else have any input on an alternate light they're using?
