Dollar Per Gallon Tanks

    Anyone end up picking up any extra 55g dollar per gallon tanks at petco? Been working every day since the sale started and I finally had time to grab one but they seem to be all sold out. /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/sad.gif I thought I read of someone planning to buy a few extras for those that missed out.

    Sale started on Sunday 6/26/11 and I was told it would go for 2 weeks.  If one store is out, have them call around for you.  Otherwise, maybe they would be willing to give you a raincheck?

    The rain check was a resounding no. I already called the local stores. If I end up having to drive even farther away the money I save on the tank will be burnt on gas.

    I called the Jordan Creek and Clive/WDM store and they had 40Bs and said if they run out they would likely get more in. I'm planning on cleaning them out of 40Bs when I come back and if I see a 55 I'll pick it up too. Any particular color?

    I just called Jordan Creek Petco and found out that they will likely not get a restock of tanks before the sale is over, but Buffalo Road store might. So you might want to see if someone else can grab one for you. I actually want a bunch of 15s and 20s and maybe some 40s so I hope they still have some by the time I can get there.

    Or for that matter, if anyone else is planning on helping out Bela, I can call ahead and have a few tanks reserved and I can pay a little finders fee for picking them up. I have an experiment that I want to run and I need a bunch of cheap tanks. I could make them out of acrylic but figured why bother if the tanks are so cheap at Petco.
