Sorry to hear about your accident Doug. Yes, morphine is good stuff. Stay ahead of the pain (take as rx'd) as it will really help. Keep the wounds clean! Stay strong as your journey through this will be long. My thoughts and prayers are with you!!

I am going to be taking 100gals of water and as much liverock as I can get and taking it to Dougs this weekend to help jump start his tank. Let me know if anyone wants to help, I'll need some containers to transport water and liverock too. Thanks!

Update: I just got off the phone with Doug and he greatly appreciates the offer for starting a recovery fund, but would rather just get some help here and there on setting up the new tank rather than cash donations. There might be a few things he needs such as salt (Reef Crystals) and maybe a tank cleaner for 1/2" glass but I think anyone that can help dig around in the system and get him set up would be the best help you can give. I can't imagine that he wants to get any saltwater on his legs or feet right now **shiver**

Waterfowler is taking a bucket of Reef Crystals to Doug for me on Sunday when he goes over there, so that should get a start on salt. I'd offer to come help out, but we're leaving on Sunday for 2 weeks in Africa.

I worked in the OR at the U for over 30 years and a good share of that, I was the nurse clinician in charge of burn patients when they came to us. It's not a pretty or comfortable process and I'm sorry one of ours has to go through it. Hang in there, Doug, and know you have a great team watching over you.

Don't you worry your pretty stripped head we're gonna get you back to Tyson and your cozy tiger bed.

And they we're gonna find our bestfriend Doug and then we're gonna give him a bestfriend hug.

Doug, Doug, Oh, Doug Douggie Douggie Doug Doug.

But if he's been murdered by crystal meth tweekers, well then we're s-hit out of luck.

Thanks to everyone who helped out and donated rock and fish Dougs tank is up and running!!! I know it means a lot to him, If I were injured to the point I could not do anything and had to sit and recover looking at a half done hole in the wall...well you get the point! It is really true... you find out who your true friends are when you fall on hard times!!! Thanks to all and thanks GIRS for establishing not only a community but a club that helps other members!
    Thanks,
    Jeremy
