Has anyone used Dr. Tim's cycle? Curious if it is recommended and also does anyone around here carry it?

I've had it work and not work about equal amounts of times... (same with bio spira post-dr tim)

It's nice to have, but I surely wouldn't put 100% reliance on it if I REALLY wanted to keep something.

I have used it on 3 nano tanks. The stuff has worked 100% of the time and I wont do a tank now without it. Multimillion dollar aquariums wouldn't use if there was any chance it wouldn't work. Do your research you will like the results.

Every time I've used a bacterial supplement (Prodibio startup, Dr Tims, and Seachem Stability), my tank is able to process ammonia within 1-3 days. Unfortunately, with these products, I also end up gettin a long nitrite stall (maybe I'm just unlucky).

Make sure it doesn't get above 5ppm, and if it does, do a water change to bring it below 5ppm.

I don't think there is a nitrite stall point. Nitrite in a saltwater tank can go to 100ppm and still not be toxic. It's ammonia that can't go over 4-5ppm. Just wait out the nitrite it will come down

Tim has an article where he recommends that nitrite not go above 5ppm either.

Nonetheless; /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default//emoticons/sad.gif My two tanks got stuck for about two weeks at that point before coming back down.
