drilling a 54 corner tank

    I have a 54 gal corner tank with a bow front was thinking obout drilling the two back panels for a overflow and return line but I am not sure if its temperd glass.  does anyone know if its temperd or not?

    If you know who makes your tank, you can make a pretty good guess based on whether or not they are tempered on new ones that are made today. Here are some links to different manufacturers:

    thanks AJ I found out that the front and bottom are temperd but the backs are not so it will be drill time soon

    going to practice on a 20 long saturday so will se how that goes first

    worked great on my 20 gal just go slow and let the weight of the drill be the only downward pressure
