   how far off my glass  lids do  i need to put this halmition dual 175  mh  with vho  this is a 72 bow front going to be a frag tank  thanks

   no fish in the tank then? Your main concern would be the metal halide bulbs getting splashed accidentally. If there are no fish, put it low.

   I'm not sure why you would bother with metal halides if you're using glass lids, to me that seems to defeat the purpose of running MH in the first place. Plus it's going to bake your tank if you're not careful.

   yeah using glass lids with halides is kinda like driving a car with no wheels....it's fun but totally pointless. Your going to loose almost all your par, so you'd basically have a really cool set of pc's.

   took glass lids off is 8-9 inches off the water ok? im running 2 10k and 2 blue vho
