Hello just wondering if most people run these directly to the tank or in sump and how the mount on the the tank/sump.
    Thanks

If you have a sump, that would be the ideal place for it. I run mine in sump with carbon and GFO loaded in the same reactor.

I wouldn't put pellets in line with the carbon and gfo. As the only way it would work is to put gfo and gac in chamber one and pellets in chamber two. Because the other way around the bactera would clog up the GAC and GFO. But this would be counter productive as the bactera needs the po4 that the GFO would filter out. And then the pellets would basicly be doing nothing.

so if running the bio's then i should not run gfo or just run it in a differnt part of the sump?

You can run them both just don't do it in line with each other for the above stated reasons.

Many people cure their phosphate issues when running biopellets because the chemical process between the bacteria and the nitrates consumes a small amount of phosphates. If you didn't have a significant phosphate issue, biopellets may be the answer for you. If you did, you may still need to run GFO, but probably less than you did before.

so if i get a dual reactor i could run carbon and biopellets? or would that not be good as well?

As Bill said, I wouldn't advise it for exactly the reasons he states. I would recommend two separate reactors. That also gives you independent flow control on each reactor.
