    She's full!

My mixing station idea for above the tank. It should allow easier top offs and water changes.

Looks like a good plan. Are you going to have an ATO on the tank? Are you going to plumb your RO/DI straight into the freshwater tank then? What are you going to have in place to safeguard that from overfilling?
Also make sure the transfer line from the freshwater reservoir to the saltwater reservoir stays above the water line. Wouldn't want to get a back siphon started and cause a flood.

There's no ATO, this is all manual pumps and valves for water changes and top offs. As seen in the diagram the fresh water outake will be well above the salt mixing water. At this point it will just be an MJ with some hose that I will manual do until I can figure out some hard plumbing.

That's better, I can see them now. /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default//emoticons/wink.gif How 'bout another one now that the water's cleared up? /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default//emoticons/smile.gif

Nice progress, is the drip tube for gentle dispersing while adding new water?

Yeah I snapped on last night.

I have the manual top off setup. It's just 1/2" pvc from the left tank above to the back corner of the tank just below the rim. It's not visible from the front of the tank. I plumbed the saltwater refill drip tube lastnight. I need to grab an MJ from petsmart today so i can pump water from the rodi tank to the mixing tank now.

I don't have a light yet. It was shipped yesterday. That's just light from the room behind the tank.

Changing out the sand this weekend. I cna't stand the fine stuff in this shallow of a tank. I dropped my MP10 in and it's a mess again. Shifting greatly and showing the bare bottom even with the MP10 under max 40%. I bought some caribsea Hawaiian black. I had planned to go this route in the beginning. Not sure why I changed.

I can help but think an anenome right out on the tip of your rock tower would be the coolest thing

i want to go to fragfest but don't want to be tempted into buying anymore equipment. I'm impatient as it is. Now I'm looking at getting a used Apex Jr.

There should be a large update tomorrow after the sand swap, repainting the back glass, putting in the MP10. After a week it has started consuming ammonia. It was brought up to 4-5ppm last week and was down to 1ishppm last night.

My Buildmyled fixture is out for delivery today.

    Here we go.....

Did a full sand swap tonight, got my light all hooked up. Currently selling some other stuff on eBay to fund an Apex JR unit to control the light and hopefully get the module to control the MP10.

This buildmyled light is amazingly constructed and made right here in the USA!

Getting a lot of weird reflections in there.

I think I'm going to have to hang my light. I can visually see the red LEDs shining on the rock work

That looks badazz!!! I see you went with the intank media basket for the ac 70. I have one for the ac70 that was on my 10 gallon. I also have the ac110 basket that fits the tunze 9002 thats on my 20 long currently. They are about to release one for the fluval spec v so I can put on of those in. I am totally sold on there procucts and have never done me wrong. I try to keep telling myself I dont order there stuff just to get gfy sticker and some swedish fish LOL.
