Also go with randalls goby and pistol shrimp...I have that combo in my 20 and they are a awesome. Fun to watch and if you do make sure you leave a makeshift cave right up front to make their home so you can actually enjoy them

    *VDM in previous post

Sump built, filled and overflow tuned up. DT looks so much cleaner now.

Still some microbubbles but 99% better than when the cpr was hanging on the DT. Still tuning and breaking in the bak pak 2.

I decided no fuge for now. I plan to keep mostly zoas so a little dirtier water won't bother me.

Picked up some corals from mpivit on Friday.

Some armor of god, green bay packer, dragon eye, eagle eye, lavender mushroom and a couple others

Some of the zoas didn't open up that day but I couldn't resist finally taking some pics. I should have taken new ones yesterday, most of them were all opened up nicely.

I wanted to get to AC&C this weekend but it just didn't happen. Hopefully picking up a YWG this week or weekend.

Thanks! I wish I could show the shape of the right side better. It creates a nice cove shape towards the back wall. It's going to be torture waiting for it to fill in. I'm a little worried about not having enough hiding spots for the fishies though.

Very, Very Nice work Dubber!! Inside and out! :0) The black sand and back wall tie-in nicely! The rockscape is AWESOME! I can tell by the pic that the rear rockscape creates a cove effect :0) Nice! The purple frilly shroom is cool! Shrooms don't get enough kudo's in my opinion! Have you thought about a St. Thomas shroom? I've been wanting one for over a year :0) Very nice frags you got there too! I have tons of zoas/palys so if you're in the area or at SpringFest, feel free to stop by :0) Since it's a small tank, you will want to plan your coral purchases very well as there's limited space...as you know :0)! I LOVE IT! Keep the pics coming as you add more livestock! Thanks for Sharing!!

I planned on a goby shrimp pair, but I might just do two clowns. I ordered a misbar and a picasso lastnight for a Friday delivery.

Thanks Matt! The pics aren't much. I really need to reinvest in a dedicated macro lens. These are taken with a regular lens and extension tubes.

Thank you! I've alwasy been a fan of black sand and black glass in freshwater. In my previous saltwater tanks I've always done the standard aragonite with a black glass. I think all black will make the colors pop once stuff starts to fill in.

Wow I've never seen the st. thomas mushroom, that looks wicked! I got my shroom from Matt (mpivit).

I did add a small rock of GSP lastnight. Hopefully it doesn't take the tank over, I'm going to try and keep it on it's own piece of rock.

    I guess official update:

I don't think my 75W Neotherm is keeping up. It doesn't go below 77 degrees according to the apex but it's on almost all day. So I might need an upgrade there now that I added the sump volume.

Installed my dimmer cable for my light to my VDM. Hoping to tune the programming this weekend.

Installed 4" sock kit in my sump. It sucks because I just don't have enough room to work the sock in and out. So I might just take it out.

    Ordered ATO as well yesterday.

Added small small piece of rock with some GSP on it. Hoping to isolate it to one small rock island.

Ordered two turbos, one picasso, one misbar, and a ricordia lastnight.

Glad you like the St Thomas :0) The corals are looking really good and I'm happy to hear that you are keeping the GSP on a separate rock. Small tanks and "creepers" = bad news :0) lol You will also want to watch the clove polyps :0) (You can always put the "creepers" on the back wall or sides.) I struggle with filter socks also, ie. not much room in the sump ;9( For the most part, I use the sock because it's difficult to clean my sump because everything is so tight. If your sump looks like it will be easy to clean out detritus, go no sock! ;0) Heater, sounds like you need just a little higher wattage or add another smaller one ;0) I like to go with smaller ones if I have the room in the sump...

You are well on your way now!! Yay! Looking great so keep the pics and info coming!!

    thanks.

I guess I'll update with no updates. I know my overhang rock structure is not going to last. I can see the rods bending so I just not have used enough epoxy. Not sure what I'm going to do.

I have two clowns that have been in QT for over three weeks now doing great. No signs of illness and eating without problems.

had a catasprophic rock failure on my ledge build. The epoxy gave way and the rocks landed on part of my hairy mushroom. Looks like he's going to pull through it. I like this scape better as it has more options for fish to hide in.

Hoping to move my clowns from QT in this weekend and pick up the next QT fish.

The one is a misbar on the other side but I couldn't get him to turn around!
