Ehiem ecco (spewwing bubbles every 15 minutes)

    Need some ideas my ehiem echo canister 2232 just keeps spewing micro bubbles about every 15 min.  I have tried shaking out ,opening it up and refilling to top and close the top down while i start it up and water overflows .  I can't take the micro bubbles anymore. Need ideas.

    no air leaks? I would check my hose clamps

    ok just checked that no air leaks , didn't think of that one ,thanks. Still looking.

    I'm betting that you have a very slow air leak that takes time to build up enough to get pushed out of the output hose. You may want to try to re-seal the hose connection points by cutting off the end of the hose that connects to the filter connectors, then re-connecting with the fresh cut ends. This will be easier if you get a cup of really hot water and dip the ends of the host in it to make it more flexible. Good luck!

    Thanks AJ I will try that and see. Good to have resources that know what i'm going through.

    ok , cut off hose and reconnected to connectors with fresh hose ends and check all other seals this is pissing me off. Still getting air build up in canister that comes out in waves every 15 min. I read that a lot of people have this problem with ehiem eccos , but no ones has a fix except to buy another echo. Not gonna do that ..So im back to square one>
