epoxy ?

    just wondering what epoxy or glue everyone uses to secure rock underwater that wont kill anything in my reef tank.

    I use an epoxy called Aqua mend. you can find it a most home depots around the paint dept..

    I use Locktite putty. I buy it in the glue section of Lowes. It's far cheaper than the aquarium brand equivalent (this is less than $5 a tube)  and doesn't have some of the additives that some of the plumbing brands have.

    I also use loctite. It is a blue putty and has worked great. I have used it in my 10g no problems. It also sets just fine underwater.

    In my experience, it is the combination of superglue and putty that is the best!

    Agreed with the gel...regular superglue kind of goes everywhere...I put the glue gel on the frag, then epoxy on that gel and then a little more gel on the other side of the epoxy to glue it to the rock...I have never had any problems with this method...I have tried just using the epoxy and sometimes it stays and sometimes it dosent
