The company says that it's rated up to 250 gallons. I purchased the company's bio-pellet conversion kit, so right now it's set up for that. I think I have the original plates, however. You would need to order new sponges to put it back to a regular reactor. It also comes with a hang-on adapter. The reactor costs $89.99 new and the conversion kit was $20, and that was a MACNA price. Great reactor. I'll be in Des Moines on Monday, October 1st if you want it. I'll be close to Blank Park Zoo. Just saying.....
