You know there is ONE person who maintains this web page for FREE right? Not only that, it's all done completely on a VOLUNTEER basis.
We should all be grateful to JB for giving us such an awesome resource.  I can guarantee you 100% that without him this club wouldn't even exist and you would have know where to *****.

I didn't read the OP as a complaint either, but the discussion was the push I needed to sign up. I'm somewhat shy, so I've been a guest for quite a while quietly visitng the site almost daily. I've really come to like this website and this discussion has provided insight into how committed some of the GIRS volunteers are. I think this site is a great place. Thanks JB for making this possible, and thanks to all of the active members whose posts set up a great atmosphere. The content is always fresh, insightful, and appreciated.

Brian as far as the part in your post that says As for free yes there is no pay per say, I also understand when in the position of getting donations, food, samples, shirts, and other goodies will say. Some people at the top will have the chance to keep somethings for them self. I really do not think that happens. For example I have collected a good amount of raffle items as it stands along with some other things that basically cost the club money for this fall fest. Everything is documented and accounted for and will be at fall fest without me or anyone else keeping anything. what we do as the board is thankless for the most part, and the biggest reward we get is in knowing we were able to do something great for everyone else.I really take offense that you think me or any one else on the board would hold stuff back from the club.

I've been on a mini-sabbatical for the last couple of months as I focused on a new job and recovered from all of the work prior to and during MACNA, but I shall return!
