Fall fest similar events?

    I am so excited for Fall fest this weekend but have a problem! I'm right at the wrong time of the year where I can't spend any money untill I get paid the week after Fall Fest. So I'm curious if there are any other events similar to this one throughout the year. I really want to start looking around at frags for my new reef but probably won't be able to get any this weekend /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/sad.gif So, does anybody know any other events throughout the year near the Iowa City area?

    The Bloomington/Normal (BNARC) club just had their event a few weeks ago. There is a spring swap, but that's at least a few months out. I forgot what month we had it last year. It's in Des Moines. St Louis had an event last month and some clubs in the Chicago area have them from time to time. I don't have a schedule so I can't give specifics. If you're looking for corals, post in our buy/sell forum what you're looking for and I'm sure someone will be able to hook you up.

    Yes, there are always corals available in the Cedar Rapids area if you know who to ask...

    Lol I'll be sure to do that. So have either of you been to the Frag Fests before? This will be my first year. What do the frags normally run at? I'm looking for things that can do well in low lighting for now (20g with 4x24watt T5) until I can upgrade to my 40g when I get an apartment.

    Spring will be perfect actually because that's when I'll be getting/have my 40g set up finally

    There will be a wide range of prices on the available corals depending on the item. I'll have a few softies that I'll be selling for only $5. There will be some rare corals there that are much much more expensive. It just depends on what you're looking for.

    So most things like softies and low light common corals will be pretty low priced? Thats good. I might be able to get a couple lil frags :) What softies do you have?

    Not all softies are cheap. There are some Zoa's and Paly's that are very expensive, but the really common stuff is generally cheap. Stuff like common Xenia, Anthelia, Kenya Trees, Green Star Polyps, etc are usually pretty cheap. I have some Xenia and Watermelon Mushroom's I'll be selling for $5 a disk.

    Lol, I always will have a little. I was hoping to not have to hold back for this weekend but I can probably spend around $50 if I see something I really like. If you ever have anything you are looking to sell, go ahead and send me a picture and price. I'm always open to unique and colorful things :eek:) Just let me know

    Come see me at Troys table I will be able to hook you up with some cheap frags. I was a college student last year and just started into this so I know how tight the budget can be.
