Are we planning to continue to do a DIY Food Making meeting twice a year like we have the past several years? If yes, great. If no or unknown, I will need more than 10 bags. Thanks!

We didnt do any diy food last year and then year before that it was one time. No the Des Moines area will not be doing it twice however I'm sure Burlington will be doing it this year and may have extra food like we will

Actually, we did it twice in 2014, once early and one late in the year. It's really just done depending on demand. @Sponge@Sponge other regions are planning to do one as well, if you need that many bags I think that it would be a good idea to plan to get a bunch from the CR/IC region if they do one as they might benefit from someone jumping up their batch size, same with Burlington. the ingredients work out better cost wise with a batch that is over about 40 bags and sometimes that is hard to get people to rally together for that large of a batch.

    I must have forgotten sorry.

But good idea bud for supporting the other regions when they do theirs.

I don't want to do 2 of the same meetings unless its a social event

I don't need any. My earlier comment was, I just bought five bags. Not that I need five. Sure the ones I have can last awhile.

Yes 5 will last awhile heck I feed a lot to my fish ( which I have more then most) and 5 bags lasted almost the whole year. Plus this is an informational meeting on how to do it. We dont want to turn this into something its not

Between 3 tanks, one bag lasts a little over a month. I basically use about 10 bags a year.

Sorry I just dont see a point in repeating an informational meeting like diy food or any other meeting for that matter more then once a year.

However the instructions are in the resource area where you can make your own.

I see it to be a good thing to have once a year just like any of the other meeting.

Well it's kind of progressed from an informational meeting to a stock-up-on-food meeting, but it is what it is....helps people save $$ but the batch size seems to get ridiculous. I'm almost wondering if, just to make it feasible, if it's a good idea to limit the total bags and thus limit the maximum bags anyone can get at the event?

Something like, you can get 3-4 bags pretty much guaranteed, anything above that is only if available. Maximum of ~70 bags, or what ever makes for the best mix & breaks even $ wise. Not a hard limit just something to keep it doable.
