O.K. here is what I am going to ask
how many times a day to feed ?
lights on white or blue both or off in the dark ?
    I have a 90 gallon tank.
it has 5 small fish (no larger than 2") and a engineer goby less than 6"
I have several different frags, mushrooms, button polyps, acans, Xenia
    some larger leather coral,
that is a idea of what i have going on.
    Thanks

    I should add
do you ever take a day off a week and don't feed at all ?
I am asking about feeding the fish and the coral in the tank ?
    Thanks again

Depending on what type of fish you have like my reef tank I feed them 2-3 times a day because of how many fish and inverts I have in there... The food is all gone within a min or so... As for my aggressive tank I feed the file fish and the dragon wrasse about 4 times a day and the lions and eel I feed once a day

Like army said it depends on what fish you have and how many as too how often you feed. Personally i always feed with lights on as some of my fish hide and sleep when lights are out, and i only feed once sometimes twice a day, and some days I just wont feed at all. But that is rarely.

Depending on the inhabitants. For a mixed reef with fish, inverts, corals, etc., I feed 2-3 times a day. I also make sure the last feeding at night is during the sunset of my tank and I allow the pumps and things to remain off well into the dark (moonlights). I like to make sure all inhabitants are getting their fill.

    I dont feed everyday.

Sometimes I feed heavy with frozen, then go a couple of days with pellets or flakes.

My breeding fish I feed 3 times daily if I can

I feed 5 of 7 days, one feeding per day.

But that is because I forget I have a display tank (always working in fish room).

I feed every day. Frozen and the auto feeder feeds a small amount of pellets after the lights come on.

Question: Do you guys feed pellets, and do your fish actually eat them? The smallest pellests, when they drop from the feeder they float on the surface of the water and the fish do not eat food on the surface, and the next larger size sinks immediately, and the fish get maybe one or 2 bites, and thats if they were paying attention, before they all hit the bottom and are then ignored.

I wish I could find a pellet that had neutral buoyancy.

I guess what the bottom line is here, there is no set standard, every tank works differantly and you just need to find what works best in yours.

I use the small pellets from ocean nutrition.
They eat them up, even looking for them when they hit the floor.
I have better luck with them if I drop in a just a few at a time

I will agree that if you only drop in a few at a time they seem to eat more.
the clown will catch 1 while falling and play catch with it in front of us.
I also don't know how this is but I can feed the cleaner shrimp out of my hand.
I do have to say i do take a day of a week where I do not feed any tank that I have a habit from having fresh water.

I have a mixed reef system and feed at least 5 times a day. Both frozen and flakes. Pumps are always on. Idk what people are talking about when they turn pumps off for feeding I've never done that. I'd like to hear alittle more about that myself.

yes I agree asking "pumps on or off when feeding" maybe another good topic to start

ok so this week I put food in twice a day twice small amounts both times light on light off.
3 times when we feed the fish it was right before the white lights went off, so we started to feed with light on and turned off the white light and end up with only the blue light on.
I see different activity and behavior from every one that is eating when the lights turn off in the middle of feeding.
