i have done peroxide before it wont work unless you shut your return pump of so it dont get filtered out then shut your lights off and add 1ml of peroxide per each 10 gallons keep some kind of circulation in your tank pull your sps out if you have any cuz it ant good for them if you got any shrimp they may make it. one of mine died when i did this and one made it wait 4 hours then pull what you can out then get a brine shrimp net and put it where your filtersock woulde be to catch it then wait an hour and then put your sps back in and about 4 weeks you will have no dino left i have been dino free for 6 months now.

I have successfully taken out dinoflagellates more than once. For me the solution has always been three days total blackout while running a quality uv steralizer.

Ive got encrusting corals, a brain, an acan, one that looks like an orange round pillow that deflates and inflates (can never remember the name) like 10 zoas frags two diff palys and some gsp. Wouldnt blackout kill most of that off?

Last weekend I syphoned the rock and surfaces through a 3/4 inch hose, into a filter sock and salvaged the water back into the tank.
In my 125 it took probably 10-15 gallon rounds and 10 filter socks to get most surfaces clean. Have had little growback since. Plan to do one more round tomorrow and then a 3 day blackout. Confident from others posts that this will be a solution rather than a treatment

From what I've read, the Dino's release a toxin in the water when they die off so best to remove as much as possible.

Don't worry about corals. 3 days isn't long enough for the zooxanthellae to die and the photosynthesis is just a supplement, they're filter feeding also.

Yes never had a problem with any sps from a blackout.

Im hoping my dino will go away on its own. Im gonna try siphoning it out through some pantyhose or something finer if i can find it, then the blackout. My 20g is down to just a clump at the highest rock point now, so im hoping it is almost done in there and i can move some corals back over there for a bit until this tank gets done

Go to the fabric store or Walmart (if your local one carry fabric) and get a yard of white felt. Excellent filter material
