Fish hide all the time? Add more fish

    I have seen this many times, and it proved true to me again.

    If you only have a few fish in a tank, especially a large tank they tend to hide all the time.

    In the last month I went from 5 fish to 10 fish in my 250, and the 5 fish that were always hiding are now out and about all the time.

    Absolutely. When fish dont see others swimming freely they may think a predator is in the area, and since everyone else is hiding they should do it too.

    Putting a group of mid to top tank swimmers in your aquarium will do wonders to bring out shy fish.

    2 orchid dottybacks
    2 bangaii
    2 candy hogfish
    2 peppermint hogfish
    2 flame hawks
    2 flame wrasses, although the male went blind & will have to replace
    1 black tang, waiting on a mate
