I noticed my bi-color pygmy angel is going to town on my new zoas so I need to get him out...  I haven't  had any luck so far, so im asking for any helpful ideas to catch him without destroying my rock work..
    Thanks in advance

Have you tried the "bottle trap"? Google it and you'll figure out how easy they are to make. I have had success with one.

I have an immortal jackass damsel I have been trying to catch unsuccessfully for a while now. Been thinking about trying the bottle trap, but I have a strong feeling I will catch every other fish but him in it. He has outsmarted every other trap. do you think a fish getting caught in this trap would stress them ot enough that I should be concerned or should I just try it and keep releasing fish until he hopefully gets caught in it? I just hate to stress out any of my more delicate prized fish trying to get that little bastard.

Yea I have tried the bottle trap in the past with mixed results.. I have been trying for the past couple of days a technique that someone told me awhile ago that worked pretty good but you have to watch it practically the whole time.. What ive been trying is simply taking a mason jar full of tank water and adding food to the bottom ( similar to the bottle trap, but with a bigger hole ) I then lower it to the bottom of the tank and let my power heads mix up the food and the water just enough so a few stray pieces come out the front to attract the fish.. When the fish you desire goes into the mason jar you pull up on the fishing line and hes trapped... Last night I caught the wrong fish so I didnt pull the line and spook them, Ill just be patient and wait for the fish I want and catch then...

    Thanks

Congrats on the catch. Good luck finding him a new home. /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default//emoticons/smile.gif
