Anyone in CR have a fish trap, or does the club have one it can loan out to members? I have a flame angel I just added that is nipping at my frags. I need to ban him to the sump until my tank has more algae for him to graze on, or sell him. /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/sad.gif

David is correct, I actually own it but I've made it publicly known that it is available for club members. Sounds like Matt has got a second. Mine is all pimped out with a tunze magnet glued to the back for mounting on the glass!

Or you can try what I have done a few times.. I just took a mason jar and tied fishing string around the top where the lid would go, fill it with the tanks water, add some food, lay it flat on the sand bed, sit back and watch and wait till the fish goes inside, then pull the string so the top of the mason jar comes up to the top of the tank and there ya go.. It usually takes me a few days/tries but eventually he finds his way in... Patience is the key.

The 2-Liter bottle with the top cut off and inverted works just as well also.

I decided to move the coral frags back to the QT tank until I catch him. He doesn't seem to pick on them that often, once about every 10 minutes then he goes on his way continuously picking at the rocks again. It was enough that all of the polyps were chewed down after about 4 days. The tank is spotless of algae since I had the rock sitting for about 6 months with no light. I'm wondering if once there is some algae for him to graze on, if he might be ok. I tried adding nori, but he doesn't seem to have any interest in that. Anyone have any experience with Flame Angels in an SPS tank?

Such a bummer because it's an awesome fish with really nice color!

Its a safe bet all centropyge angels will "taste" your corals. Some do it less than others...
