Three fish have vanished from my tank in the last two weeks. A flasher wrasse, which might have jumped (it vanished the one day in the last year I forgot to close the lid back down), a purple fire fish, and this morning I find my female clownfish gone. The male clownfish is around, everyone in the tank is happy and healthy, the female clown was the biggest fish in the tank, and no one ever seems picked on. I haven't added live rock for about three years, and hadn't had a single fish vanish before this. Water param's seem fine, coral is doing fine. What is happening and what should I do?

    Thanks

Vanishing fish is never a good thing. Did you check the returns? What kind of lid do you have? I have the BRS mesh on mine, and eggcrate around where the returns come into the tank and I still have wrasses that manage to get out. a firefish would be able to get out of some tight spots as well.
Or you may have some weird night stalking critter that's been living in your rock all these years and now has decided to go after your fish. Its crazy the stories you hear of those things happening in a reef tank. Get a flashlight and go on tank watch for a couple nights.

What do you have for livestock & CUC? I wouldn't trust any crabs other than the little blue-legged and scarlet reef ones.

Not in the return, and the lids are tight fitting to the overflow. I have no CUC. I have a lawnmower blenny for algae control, and no crabs.
