The Flame Wrasse I bought today from LA has a problem with one eye. Anyone know what this is. Is it something I should worry about?

Is it popped out a little bit? I have had a hippo tang and a coral beauty both with "pop eye." C.B. came from live aquaria and was on its death bed due to a shipping screw up causing an extra 1 day delay. The hippo developed it shortly after going into my tank (after being in QT). Both overcame it on their own. Some people say that you can medicate them, but I did a LOT of research and the biggest thing was just keeping them well fed and letting them heal on their own. Of course, it is easier to feed them what they need in a QT, but if that is what it is, it is fairly common.

Ir appears to be mainly in the center black part of the 1 eye. It is not extended much but it clearly is not normal. I do not see any signs of anything other than on the one eye. This is what LA said and I sent them the same 3 pics.

    Dear Maureen,
Thank you for your email and your recent order. We have reviewed your photos as attached as we do apologize the white spot does not seem to appear on the photo very well. The most common white spot seen on fish is Ich and you can treat for that while the fish is in quarantine. We would ask that you keep us posted on the specimen and if needed we can extend he warranty on this. You are a valued customer and we look forward to hearing from you in the future.

Does it look like a bubble or an airpocket in the eye? From your pics it really doesn't look like the eye is protruding. I have had fish get "pop eye" and their eyes literally look they are ready to pop out of their head. Your pics don't look like that. Might be just an injury from something inside the tank, or possible a parasite in the eye.

I don't think it is pop eye. It might be an injury or a parasite. For now I have not done anything but feed her well. Do you think I should treat it for a parasite and if so is there a certain product that is recommended over others? Do you think it is ok to wait and see if it gets better on its own and if so how long do you think I should wait?

I would QT with Prazipro, i had something similar on a ruby valentine flasher and after 3-4 days it went away. If you need any i have some left and could spare a vial if needed.

I have prazipro so I will start today with it. Lets hope it does the trick. I must say I am a little disappointed that LA sent a fairly expensive fish to me with a clearly visible problem. I do not believe the eye problem happened en route.
