Just needed to vent a little. No matter how careful I am, I have always ended up catching some dang flatworms in every tank I have had. Well, I noticed a few planaria in my tank last week and though I would let them be and see if they stayed in check. Well, tonight after seeing numbers getting up there, I broke out the sheep deformed and let them have it. It scares the heck out of me each time. Not that I am worried about the toxins from the flatworms, nor the effects of the drug on the fish or corals, I just know that it affects the micro fauna and other good bugs. I see the snails stressing, the stars withering, etc. I am going to do my best in the future to avoid having to use this stuff.

Thanks for listening. It helps to air it out.

I think your best bet is to closely inspect & dip every frag you get before putting it in your tank. Also get some fish that are known predators that can keep them in check. I think there are some wrasses that will eat them.

I here ya lee. The inspection and dips don't keep them all or their eggs out. There Alwys seems to be one that is Teflon ,and makes it through. I know there are predator fish but those are hit or miss. Fortunately, they don't do much harm. Besides, the dewormer has done its deed. Thanks for the support.

Must be frustrating..But dont give up! Some other ideas (not exactly the easiest solution) but what if going forward you remove the frags from their plugs and then glue them on to new ones (or at least recycled ones that have dried out) along with QT any new frags for a month or so before putting them in your display?
