I bought this light a few months ago and was told this light could support anything I wanted to put in my tank. Is this true? Right now the only thing I have in my tank (55 gallon) is a clean up crew, lettuce slug, long tentacle anemone, and a feather duster. Thanks [IMG]

I was not that familiar with them, but after looking up some info about the light I don't think it puts out enough light for SPS. Lower light LPS placed closed to the light may be ok and softies should do well, but the light is not very powerful and does not have good penetration based off these PAR measurements http://www.reefs.com/blog/2012/07/12/product-review-hagen-fluval-sea-led-light/. Those are taken without water so the true amount reaching corals would not be much unless you had several strips.

Good news is that it has a really nice spectrum with lots of color in the near UV range so any colorful softies will really glow!

The 48" version is 46W and has almost 700 LED's! I really do like that is has 400, 420, 440, 460nm LEDs, but just one strip isn't going to go far I am sorry to say.
