Took the suggestion and decided to build my own cat tree. Took 4 days of about 6 hours of work per day, mostly because I'm really slow when working with a drill and such. Bill came out just over $100 and that includes the supplies for this tree and three large scratching posts. General consensus is that a tree this large would be about $120-150 and each quality large scratching post would have been about $45. I just have to get some rope wrapped around the posts during my chill time tomorrow.

Yeah, we have another tree that is made of the driftwood so it looks like an actual tree. Figured I'd mix it up a bit. The goal of the PVC was so it would be a little lighter than using solid wood.

Thanks Deb /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default//emoticons/smile.gif Hope everything is good at home and you had a good trip!

That is one of the nicest cat trees I've seen. Congrats. Makes me want to get cats so I can build one and watch them play on it. Nothing is cuter than watching cats chase and play with eachother
