Just wondering what you are using for lighting on your fowlr tank. Please post some pictures if you have any.
Im looking at the evergrow dimmable leds. I thought about using regular fluorescent lights but I'm concerned about the looks of the tank.

I don't have a FOWLR but would definitely go with LED from an expense perspective as well as to keep options open down the road for coral.

I agree with Dave, I have had the evergrow dimmable on my reef for 8 months and am happy with them.
I liked the overall look of the tank with T-5s better, but those Evergrow units were a much better value.
If money is no object there are nicer options, but if you are on somewhat of a budget I'd go evergrow.

Do you notice any shimmer with them? Can you lower the blues so the tank can be bright.

Yes and yes. I bought mine off ebay from Bo Wang his pictures have sgrnw or something on them. They have an upgraded aluminum heatsink.

I have the reefbreeders value fixture on our 210 and they are made by the same company (evergrow). They are dimmable with both blue and white(other) channels manually. We like them a lot.

If you're not planning on corals down the line you can definitely use NO fluorescents and save a bundle. You can get different spectrums to get the look you want.
