Well the old frag tank worked for a while but ran out of room quicker then I thought.  So me and Matt split the cost and picked up B-rads tank he had for sale.  All we could get done sense we have the wrong union fittings but I will be waiting at Menards in the morning.

This tank really does look awesome with the light on it too. B-Rad does some very nice looking stuff. Proablly one of my best buys for this hobby. Late this week, or early next week we will have the heater, and lights for this tank, and shortly some more frags, to get ready for the swap.

Apparently they have didn't threads for different brands. We had a Lowes and Home Depot variety but neither worked.

they might be spa unions. i had an issue like that with a Pump i had. i had to go to a hot tub place and get them. cause normal unions the threads were to big.

Lol as of about 20 min ago the tank was running.  Menards unions are a different brand, and that solved the problems.  Yes bone cutters work great to cut egg crate, there the crappier pair of bone cutters.  I won the nice fragging set at the xmas party, and that sets over there too that we have been using.

Well it is up and running.  So some people may have looked at the far end and wondered why it was sectioned off.  I figured this could either be used for a ric holding area I or when I get into them.  I can just cover the area in rubble and let them attach.  Or I also figured I could use it for BTA when they split off my large one.  Right now the holding area is where my mangroves are until I find a better place for them.
I have a 2 bulb retro coming to add another 2 to the canopy and make it a 4 bulb setup.  Then I plan on hanging the canopy somehow to make it  easier to get in and out of  the tank.

Good work. Looks very sharp. Another two bulbs is gonna be a lot of light for ~10 gallons of water. Haha. Just be careful so you dont bleach the corals out. What are you gonna do with your leds now?

That is why I will be hanging the hood also so I can adjust things accordingly. The LED's are sitting now. I have an idea for one and the other I have no idea yet. Maybe a small fish only tank with LED light hahaha! Been looking at Leaf fish or Anglers. Might set something up for those. What is your experience with either of those(I know you were mentioning leaf fish last night)

Yeah thats a good idea about hanging the lights. If you come over to my house to check my setup out, you should bring those par38 leds over so I can see how they light up my new sump. As far as a leaf fish goes, I think that you should just put it in your 40 and not a separate tank. They like the reef setup and like to be able to roam around. The stronger flow in a reef tank doesn't really bother them because they are able to get a good grip on things with their fins. Although if you have shrimp in your 40, they would quickly be food. I just finally got my big leaf fish to eat frozen krill last night. It made me very happy. Anglers aren't nearly as reef safe because they will eat any fish they can fit in thier mouth. They would be better suited in a small tank alone in your case.
