Anybody the correct way to frag a Meteor Shower Cyphestrea? The one I have has completely encrusted the rock and I need to know if I should take a scapel to it and just peel of the coral or if it has to grow on a new rock?
    Thanks

I doubt a scalpel is going to cut through it and there's probe ly not going to be any peeling either. If you can remove the rock a diamond blade and a dremel might be the correct answer. If you can't get the rock out....enjoy the colony

You have to cut the rock. I know of no other way or you may put some frags around your edges of the growth and let it grow on to them.

    Google is your best

Well, the rock is pretty small. It fits in the size of my hand and is currently in the frag tank. So i needed to know the easiest way to frag it off the small rock. It is not on the rock structure in my main tank just to clarify. But is a diamond tip drill bit still the right way to go?
