Ive got a couple large softy corals I wanna frag but not sure what to do. Ive heard I can just slice with a razor but what else? Can I just cut off the rock and attach to another? Thanks!

Softies tend to be the easiest to split. Get yourself a nice pair of stainless steel scissors and cut rwo inches back from the budding area. Use a ruber band to GENTLY hold the stalk down to a new rock... thats abiut it... you can use a razor. But scissors typically give you a cleaner cut and leave less damage which soeeds uo the healing process. Depending on how big your tank is and if you run carbon you can slice it right in your tank and pull it out. Softies twnd not to leach too many toxi s. More co tact stings. As always wear gloves (preferably nitrile) and some eye wear.

If you are just trying to move them then yes you can chisle the rock where their base is and drop it some where new.

So very easy to frag, and if any gets away from you, it will attach its self to something and grow from there.
