just bout a blue devil damsel from ac&c last weekend and its causing all sorts of hell in my tank. This fish is a little over a inch long and is eating great. Also this fish is a female as well in case anyone is wondering. Let me know if you want it or otherwise is going down the drain.

So you're saying the name is pretty fitting for the attitude?
If you can't sell it or give it away, see if they will take it back for a store credit maybe?

all i want is this thing out of my tank. I have no time to take it back as i will be on call this week for work, otherwise i would gladly give it back without store credit

Seriously?? There are all kinds of ways to handle this situation, the drain should not be one of them...

    Wow!!
If I was a Pet Store I would not sell you any more fish.....Maybe you should have done the research on the fish before purchasing.

calm it down guys. Maybe this $3 fish is completely messing up everything in his tank. One fish is not worth trashing your setup.

Maybe so, but +1 on doing your research......  Seems a shame to flush something down the toilet that was probably swimming in the wild 6 months ago just because ? even if it was only $3 /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/angry.gif

shouldnt have to do research when the fish store tells you is the least aggressive of the damsels.

Such criticism... how many things have you all killed due to "lack of research"? He's trying to place the fish, but if he can't, then chuck it. Rather than flushing, though, I would recommend tossing it in the freezer in a cup of water, personally.

Thanks to all that are somewhat on my side in the situation. I normally do research before any purchase but i was at the store making other purchases. i thought what the heck when i seen this fish. I was told it was fine as i had already known that some of the damsels can be down right nasty. I am usually on this site at least once a day and sometimes many, reading anything and everything. I do not know many of you at all but i am not getting a good impression with posts like i got in this thread. Starting to wonder why i even became a member???????

By the way, do you have a sump? I'd stick him in there. Perhaps he can even have a permanent home there. It's going to be tough placing a fish that has a confirmed poor temperament sadly. I urge you not to base the club's overall spirit over the posts of 2-3 people. It really is a nice place to be. /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/smile.gif

btw jeff comparing the least aggressive damsel to the most, is like comparing a great white to a piranha. Its a shame too because I really love the color of these fish.
