I have had this guy for a couple of months and he hasn't seemed as happy as he should be - long tentacles as opposed to the bubble tips he had when I got him. Two days ago he jumped off of his rock onto the wall and now he vis very unhappy. I believe I just have inadequite lighting to support him. He has seemed fairly helathy until a couple of days ago. I'm sure that with better lighting he can be happy and healthy again /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/smile.gif in an effort to save the fella I'm letting him go for free. First one to my house can have him. I live in DSM and will be available tomorrow until 1PM. Please only take him if you have proper lighting!

    Thanks!

I would be happy to take care of the anemone. I could pick it up tomorrow afternoon over lunch if that is ok, or I could get it tonight if you like.

RBTAs frequently don't bubble all the time and is no indicator of how "happy" they are. Also, they can shrivel up for a short time and be ok. What kind if lights do you have?

As an FYI, it is very rare for bubletips to actually keep their bubbles and they almost always end up as you described. Maybe you posted pics of your nem and I just can't see them but if not post pics and lets see what it looks like. Also, what sort of lights and other helpful info can you tell us about your tank? It is also not uncommon for anemones to go through periods of looking like crap and then perking back up. Not saying that getting rid of it isn't the right ultimate decision but don't necessarily despair yet...

    Gone pending pick up ...

I had been wanting to sell him anyway as his favorite spot was in the middle of my zoa/mushroom garden. He really is a beautiful specimen so it sucks but with him setting up camp in the middle of my favorite things he needed to go.

I have a Red Sea Max and I believe we are still running stock lighting unless my husband did something to it.
