I have a 300 gallon Tenecor acrylic aquarium for sale. It was used for fresh water with the thought of converting into a saltwater system in the future. The tanks dimensions are 8' x 30" wide x 24" tall. It has two overflows with 3 inch drains. Also two opening on the top of the tank with lids. The sump has two separate sections..
The two overflows drain into a 2' x 1' x 1' acrylic tank, which has 4 drains that poor into the 2nd sump. The 4 drains poor into filter socks. I have 8 filter socks so they can easily be changed out and cleaned. This first acrylic section also has a drain in the center on the bottom of it. It is a 3 inch drain that could easily be used for water changes. If you added a shut off valve to it, it would make your water changes pretty fast and convenient.
The second sump is a glass 60" x 18" wide x 12" tall, it has a divider in the center and a line drilled into the side for the return. The return pump is a dolphin 4700. The return line feeds the basic return lines, added spray bars(3 of them hidden in the back), and the two bio towers filled with pot scrubbies and bio balls, I have extra bio balls and pot scrubbies too. Also include the two lights that are currently on the tank just basic 48 inch florescent bulbs. Also have a wooden stand that measures 97.5" x 31" wide x 24" tall. The stand is really short so I added two 4 by 4s to add an extra 7 inches in height when I had the system running if you look close at the picture you can see that. I would recommend building a stand for the tank(but I am not including the stand in the price). The stand works fine I just never really liked the look of it. Also if you wanted you can have the white sand and rock that are in the tank pictured. This system is plug in and play for freshwater $1600 for everything. I live in Ames, Iowa call or pm.. 319-929-1504
I think it can easily be changed over to saltwater.. added some lights and a skimmer that can handle 250-500 gallons depending on what you are wanting to do. I think it is close to being ready. The tank and sumps have been empty and dry for 6 months.
