how long have you gone without feeding him?

I usually wait a couple days, then feed him some frozen. I start out with bigger items like silver sides. If you have a feeding stick, you can wave it around in front of him.

Yes silversides work great. I tied one to a string with a loose knot and waved it around and it worked awesome

I got lucky and got all three of the lions that I have had to eat frozen food. Sometimes you have to go a few days without feeding before it will go for the frozen food. Feeding stick and waving it around always seemed to do the trick.
